SYMPHONY
Throughout the many years of hiking along the ocean coast, I noticed the interplay of the rocks and of the water, from observing the thunderous crash of the waves upon the rocks roared with the different sound, to the pebbles that glistened with water.
It is interesting how two different elements can compliment each other so well. Rocks are solid, stable, and do not sway, while the water is unpredictable and always changing. Their strengths compensates for their counterpart’s weaknesses creating harmony between the two.
I named this series SYMPHONY because I wanted to illustrate the similarities of music and painting. Both impact the soul and ignites the emotions. The variance in color represents the different tones in the painting. Harsh and bold colors combine with soft and calm ones to creating a symphony of colors.
