COASTAL SENSATION
The salty scent of crashing waves, birds gliding on invisible currents, and colors gleaming in the bright Southern California sun are my inspirations.
These moments are observed and experienced during hikes along the coast, then transformed into semi-abstract expressions. My work is a visual interpretation of the senses rather than a literal depiction of a specific landscape. These paintings do not represent the memory of one particular place; instead, they are meant to evoke the sensory memories of moments past.
I am always driven by the almost impossible desire to translate what I feel into what I can achieve with paint.
